Fuddyduddy Furniture

In Suffolk we have a local saying that goes something like "ou ah that's a bit Fuddy Duddy!' It means something that's a bit old fashioned, but quality, perhaps a bit 'proper'. It's a sort of affectionate and tongue in cheek term for something you might find a bit dated. We thought it was the perfect name for a vintage furniture refinishing company!

I have always loved Art and Design, and more specifically the process of finding and bringing out the inherent beauty of something. I am inspired by the natural world, its colours, and the beauty and feel of natural wood. I am so excited to find pieces with history and quality craftsmanship, and then set about refurbishing and bringing the piece back to life, picking out the best features to create something truly unique that would look gorgeous in any home. I am truly inspired imagining that piece having a home for decades to come, perhaps even becoming a family multi generational piece, passed down and treasured by future generations.
